Those of you who have seen my photography of The Talent Factory Dance Company will recognize Tara’s name as the person who helps pose those wonderful young dancers. We had a great portrait session back in July and now here’s the results of that day. Tara’s a very accomplished dancer as well as teacher and she told me to feel free to be creative with the prints, which is why there’s a mix of styles and looks here. I couldn’t be happier with the work we did creating the photographs in this post.

By popular demand I’ve been asked to post some more of this year’s Talent Factory Dance Company portraits. If you count how many from this session I’ve turned into final prints you’ll understand how much I enjoy making them. Thanks once again to Dana, Tara and all the wonderful dancers.

Here's a few more of this year's portraits of my (still) favorite group of dancers from The Talent Factory in North Kingstown, RI. Thank you again to Dana, Tara and all the wonderful dancers.

A few weeks ago we got an early start on this year's portraits of my favorite group of dancers from The Talent Factory in North Kingstown, RI. I had planned on releasing them all at once after this coming weekend's picture day, but have posted a few edited images on my Facebook business page for the girls. So why put up a blog post early? Because Facebook crushes these images too much. Anywhere online doesn't do these photographs justice, but until Dana puts up another billboard, here you go! Thank you to all the wonderful dancers and especially Dana and Tara.

Signature Kitchens & Baths magazine moved their annual Design Awards issue to the spring so we got double exposure out of last year's projects. Once again, below is the award-winning bathroom built by The Brush's End and Simply Baths.

So what have I been up to this winter? Well it's actually been a bit busy. There were some holiday parties to photograph in December and some local advertising in January, but nothing very blogworthy until now. Here's a project I worked on in December but waited until publication of the issue last week to post about it. I had the pleasure of photographing two articles for Newport Life Magazine for their annual Home & Lifestyle issue. Saying "I had the pleasure" is pretty common, but this really was headache-less work. Photographing in the homes of designers presents you with picture-ready "sets" instead of a whole lot of staging and rearranging work. You can find the whole issue online here: Newport Life Magazine's Home & Lifestyle 2009, and some of their selects (plus a couple of my own) are below.

Readers of this blog may recall this image from my portrait day at The Talent Factory Performing Arts Center in North Kingstown, RI back in June.

The Talent Factory's owner Dana Adames loved the above photo (it was one of my favorite's from the day as well) and when she wanted to have the five 8' windows of her studio's storefront tinted Dana decided on a vinyl photo display of my photograph. The printing came out great and it's a huge visual, even to cars driving by on Route 1. Thanks, Talent Factory!

Back in June I once again photographed some of the beautiful design and contracting work of The Brush's End and Simply Baths and for the third year in a row their work was a winner in the annual Signature Kitchens & Baths Design Awards issue. Below is the award-winning bathroom.
